Hunter Publishing has a long, proud tradition that began when my grandfather, George Hunter, purchased the Madison Daily Leader in 1947. George and my father Merrill built the foundation of a strong daily newspaper and a growing commercial printing company.
In the years that I've been president, we've held tightly to the values that have earned our company its reputation — quality, fairness and service. We've also continued a tradition of aggressively using technology to help us work: we were the first newspaper in the Dakotas to purchase a web offset press, first to set type electronically, the first South Dakota newspaper with a site on the World Wide Web, and added an online brand, DailyLeaderExtra.com (then MADISONet.com), to our roster in 1999.
Our company is committed to standing at the forefront of the highly technical and competitive businesses of publishing and printing. Feel free to take a look at our company's web sites, and please call on us for your printing and publishing needs.
